Congratulations to Bilbao who scrape through as champions on goal difference over Barcelona who ran them a very close second. Mallorca came up with the final week upset by beating league champion contenders La Coruna 3-2 with Mick McTeir walking away with the "Sakarra Manager of the Week" Award. A nailbiter of a finish to a close fought league. Bilbao coach Peter Airey, still reeling from last weeks shock defeat by Mallorca is reportly still in his current position and was said to be "smug".

Juventus were edged out of first place despite a 4-0 win in their final game. Manager Gary Humber declared the season a success but has officially ruled himself out of the running for the England manager's job, saying "I'm not prepared to spend a season trying to coach a bunch of prima donnas who are more concerned with their looks, fashion accessories and haircuts than playing footballÉ. so I won't be applying for the England managers job - I'll be sticking with the girls division, CYSL.".
